Your mom was trying to feed you and your little brother Chowking lauriat but you were thoroughly absorbed in a book. You were reading under the table and ignoring your family, and when your mom tried to take the book away I saw that it looked like one of those Adarna books with Filipino-English translations per page. You made such a fucking fuss yelling and grabbing for the book that she let you have it back while she started feeding your little brother. What I want to say is, fuck yeah that’s how you do it, kid. Read hard and cut any bitch who tries to tell you knowledge is secondary to sustenance. You and I both know they’re the same thing. 

P.S. Keep your little brother away from things your mom’s cellphone, which he was already begging to play with. Read to him at night. Be good, little one.
